Ganoderma's fight against Cancer

Most of us knew one or two people who had the dreadful disease of Cancer, maybe a friend, a relative or maybe you, and it was upsetting.

So now I'm sharing what I knew about Ganoderma lucidum and how can it helps cancer patients.

Ganoderma lucidum consist of polysaccharides, organic germanium and triterpenes which is said possesses an anti cancer properties.

Studies conducted in different parts of the world to investigate the medicinal properties of Ganoderma lucidum. The Department of Medical Biochemistry in Japan shown that Ganoderma lucidum encourages the death of cancerous cells because triterpenes (one of the components of Ganoderma lucidum) are enabling in inhibiting the blood supply of the cancerous cells, it also prevents oxygen and other nutrients from feeding them.

The Cancer Research Laboratory in Indianapolis revealed that Ganoderma is able in blocking several chemicals (such as AP-1, N-kappaB and uPA) which promotes the spread and development of cancerous cells. This study also shows that Ganoderma lucidum inhibits the spread of breast and prostate cancer.

Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute found that Ganoderma lucidum protects DNA from damage caused by free radicals and by radiation.

Ganoderma lucidum prevents cancer metastasis, relieves pain and improves the chance of longevity.

It is a valuable support in the treatment of cancer together with chemotherapy. It also reduces the side effects of chemotherapy.
